Marzie Hsadat Bagheri
Marzieh is last year Master student in Cellular and Molecular Life Science. She is highly interested in molecular genetics, sexual reproduction, and immunology. Marzieh collaborates with the Ma lab, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, Evolutionary Genomics of Sex, Biology Department). Marzieh is fascinated by the complexity in organisms between genotypes and phenotypes. She investigated in sex chromosome differentiation in the common frog. Currently, as her Master thesis, she is working on pollination networks in Eastern Central Tanzania in the framework of the ISeBAF research. Marzieh is also collaborating in the development of bioinformatic pipelines for the screening of Wolbachia in tephritid fruit flies.
